I’d like to be able to create tutorials of what I do on my computer. I want to be able to do fade-ins, fade-outs, watermarks, cursor highlighting, the neat radar-echo effect when the mouse is clicked and other fancy stuff.
I have a very small budget, but if you have experience and can create a link to their website you get the points.

My aunt runs a motel and she’s still not using a proper software for her work. I think it’s really inefficient at this time of the day not to use a motel reservation software. But she doesn’t want an expensive one as her budget is tight and it must be an easy to use motel reservation software.

For years I’ve used Microsoft excel to track my expenses, I have my checking account balance at the top, and my budget categories (Mortgage, Car Insurance, Groceries, etc.) along the side, with all my transactions at the bottom. I’d like to be able to upgrade to a software that might be a little more automatic, but I don’t know which to choose.
I’ve tried mint.com, and I don’t like it at all, because I am unable to define the categories for my transactions. The most important feature to me is being able to define what I call ‘sub accounts’, and say which ‘sub account’ each transaction should withdrawl from. For example:
If I get a paycheck for $1000, I want to distribute it like this
$500 to mortgage
$200 to groceries
$150 to Insurance
$100 to Utilities
$50 to Fun
Then when I write a check to Geico for $300, I want it to come out of the “Insurance” sub account. This way I keep track of all my sub accounts together.
Having it go to my banks website and automatically download all my transactions would be a plus, but isn’t necessary. Thanks in advance for your help!

I would like to set up a computer lab of 8-10 mac computers that will serve approximately 180 students. Each student will maintain (with help, obviously) a portfolio of work done in art and music class. Therefore, I would like each student to have her own login ID and folder. Since the files will be audio and pictures, storage needs are high.
I will administer the network. I have mac experience, but I am not a sysadmin by any means. I can learn quickly and I am tech savvy, but I hold no illusions of becoming a Unix guru during this school year. The school will be able to get support for installation but I will need to run the thing myself.
Any ideas for hardware/software configurations are welcome. The workstations will likely be mac minis, other than that budget is not a huge issue.

Ive been making a lot of videos lately. Ive made music videos and video blogs and other stuff but when I edit it on Movie maker and I try to save it to my computer to be uploaded it wont save. The bar just stays on 0 percent and doesnt move. I want to upload my videos on YouTube or MySpace but if I edit a lot or add a bunch of music or effects on WMM I cant. Can anyone tell me how I could fix it? Or recommend a good editing software that is within my budget[$10-$25]?

does anyone know any good computer aided dispatch programs. I am personally used to spillman, however this is for a small security company, and free, or close too free is what the budget is….
Ive tried ALEIR, but its way outdated and wont even run correctly without errors anymore.
does anyone know of any other CAD software out there for the low budget?
