I’ve decided to build a gaming PC. I’ll be using my 32″ Samsung LN-T3253 as my monitor, I already have cables, so there are no problems there.
I will, for now, be using my wireless keyboard and mouse from my old computer, and am planning on buying Altec Lansing VS2421 Speakers tomorrow [they're on sale]
So Basically, although I’m on a budget I will only need the desktop itself, also software will not be included in this pricing.
I was looking to spend $600-800 or so, but that’s can be slightly higher if needed. Mostly ordering from TigerDirect.ca, as they ship to Canada.
Would I *need* bigger than a MidTower, or would that be enough, I’m planning on upgrading as I go, but don’t see myself needing a full tower. Micro would be nice, but unlikely.
Is there any advantage to having more than one harddrive, other than more space. Would 2 250′s be better than a similar rpm 500GB. [OS and progs on C, data on D]
For a video card I was thinking of a Radeon 8600 or 8800

I don’t use my aim account much, but if anyone uses msn add me at invalidx@live.ca
OS – I was thinking of having XP Pro, Vista [trying it out] , a small linux partition. and also might try to “hackintosh” OSX on there , maybe not though, just a small consideration.

I am using a Mac.
Basically, I want to use multiple cameras to record a church service, all connected to my Mac, and control it from here.
It’s going to be a very low budget film.
I’ve heard of Premiere Pro, and have used a little bit of it.
But any other ideas?
How to connect the cameras to each other, if possible how to connect the church sound system?
Thanks.

It seems my dad is stuck. I can’t understand why. But it doesn’t matter right now. He needs a really good push that I think, for many reasons, only I can provide.
He is giving some private lessons now in software testing. It is a growing field. Everybdoy wants to learn it. But we think that he should really expand it and have groups and give seminars and everything. We are on a really tight budget. What are some things I can do to start the creating flow in him?

Good Evening,
Google and yahoo are fairly useless these days for more and more searches :
I am in search of either free(ware) or open source software that can function as a chalkboard, a blackboard, and/or a whiteboard.
[seems like blackboard inc has a ridiculous patent that has curbed a lot of development in this area]
MS sharepoint and a lot of commercial groupware would be too expensive to deploy in low-budget school systems on the scale i’m desiring and for the most part have too many features that are not needed
what is mostly needed is the ability to group sketch/edit and thus collaborate from near or far on the board
whiteboard meeting comes close but the fact it requires skype eliminates it from contention
also some of the IM apps out there have some decent interactive sketching ability but afaik they only allow 2 people in a direct IM conversation to see and sketch the same image not a larger group of say 4 or 5 individuals
so any more suggestions?

I’m looking for the best DJ software’s to make music such as Drum n bass/trance/electronic/techno/house/cutups type of music, I’m on a loose budget so any price is good for me, I’m just looking for the best out there that will get the job done, I’m already aware of virtual DJ but i was told that there are better programs out there, any help please and thank you!
