I am a 14 year old student in High School, and I am quite the little entrepreneur. I help every year with my little brothers Elementary School “Talent Show”, and I am competing with the “professional” director of the “Talent Show Video” so the principal can see which one is easier to comprehend, which one looks better, and which one would be easier on the school’s budget.
I was wondering if there were any FREE video editing software out there, so I can really pack-a-punch with my competing Talent Show video.
Does any advice on anything else?
I have been told that I make REALLY great videos for YouTube and stuff… but I havent done anything like this before… What type of equipment do I use??? The only equipment I have is an HP PhotoSmart M307 3.2 MP (15x optical zoom) camera, my Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop, and the Windows Movie Maker Software on my PC.
The School will let me borrow any equipment I need, so any advice?

Thank You!
(I will reward “Best Answer”!)

Can someone name some slideshow software and tell me a little about it?

I will check into all recommendations myself and have a strict budget of less than $100.

I am looking for something where I can create the slideshow on my computer then am able to upload it to my site. And there has to be several types of themes I can create slideshows from.

So I’ve read that BitDefender, Kaspersky and VIPRE are all top-notch antivirus software (with Bit and VIPRE being cheaper – good for my budget). Any idea with one I should buy? But then how about a good internet security software? Unless of course the 3 mentioned options have superb internet security?

Opinions about these next ones (paid and unpaid);

Comodo Internet Security 3.8.65951.477 (free net security, or is a paid one a better option?)

Outpost Firewall Free 2009 6.5.2724.381.0687.328 (better than Windows Firewall? Or should I get an AV with a firewall?)

Thanks for any assistance.
I’m not having the bulk of my computer security software be free. ‘You get what you paid for’ should mean something to you cheap bastards.
I have Norton (owned by Symantec) now but I hopefully have enough money to build my own desktop. I want to have something else aside from Norton using every available resource…

We have a definied contribution pension plan at my medium-size company. The contibutions are being added to a fund. Then employees can take loans from the fund. It hasn’t been administered well, or seperately, and now I’m trying to clean things up.

Does anyone know of a decent fund administration program I can use to keep track of each employees account accurately? Open source or cheap is ideal. Don’t have much of a budget. We’ve been trying to use Excel but it’s more than a bit of a mess.

There are so many free antivirus softwares out there for Mac but I want to know which one is best and why. There are so many similar questions on the yahoo answers but most of them say “No one’. I don’t want this answer. I am working on Mac in my company and they use Paid antivirus software on all the macs. I just bought one Mac computer for my home it is very expensive and out of my budget so I want to use a free antivirus for this before I connect it to Internet.

Now Apple has also suggested Mac users to start using antivirus for their Mac computers. so, please don’t answer “None” or “No one” software. Please suggest me which one should I use and why and their Pros and cons.

I’m looking for software to establish and maintain a Home Budget. Just the simple things like managing monthly bills and keep up w/ what’s due, how much and when. I used to use Microsoft Money but for some reason cannot run the program (any versions at all) on my system. I’ve found some that are free/shareware but these all seem much more complicated than our needs. We have no credit cards or bank accounts to maintain so something simpler would be great. I have also tried using Microsoft Works Spreadsheet’s Home Budget Template, but it too is much more involved than I’m looking for. Thanks.
I tried Quicken, and while I liked a lot of the features I chose not to use it for the following reasons:
1. I don’t want or need any “online” options as I do not do any banking online.
2. Did not care for the interface.

But I do thank you for answering. :D

What kind of cameras? What kind of video mixer or software? And should I use a dvd burner or a computer or something else? This system would use 3 video cameras to record bands at a club and then offer a dvd of their show right after their set is done. So it would have to be pretty quick process. The budget is modest also. I’m not looking to spend more than is needed.Thanx for input.
