am using a Mac.
Basically, I want to use multiple cameras to record a church service, all connected to my Mac, and control it from here.
It’s going to be a very low budget film.
I’ve heard of Premiere Pro, and have used a little bit of it.
But any other ideas?
How to connect the cameras to each other, if possible how to connect the church sound system?

Hi, I have some .avi videos that I want to burn into a DVD. I just found out that Windows DVD Maker can do that, but what I wanted is to add chapters in the .avi, since its 1hr and 25 minutes. I want to add chapters for scene selection and stuffs so its easier to watch when i just want one segment. Thanks! Software are okay, but as much as possible, freeware since I am on a tight budget.
But if anyone knows how to add chapters to an .avi file to be burned as DVD without using any additional software, that’s fine with me too. Thanks!

my friends and i are planning on doing some home recording and we need to know what to get. We want to record one guitar, one bass, one vocalist, and one keyboard. We have a somewhat low budget and we are new to recording so simple is better. Also what do we need as far as computer software and how big should the hard drive and RAM be?
We also need to know if we should mic our amps or plug the amp output directly into the mixer.

My school is asking students to help them with recommendations for what types of Laptops they should buy…they need at least 2 recommendations (2 types of laptops) from each student…the budget is $20,000 and they need 30 of them for the lab. So my question is does anyone have a suggestions on what kind of Laptop that they could get? What are some features on the laptop? Here are some of the things that they need to know about…

I’m interested in designing logos and editing photos. I am in desperate need of a program that lets me edit photos and create images from scratch to put into my portfolio for application to university.

The problem is, there’s a plethora of software out there and I don’t know which one to buy. Would Adobe Photoshop Elements satisfy both of my needs? I’ve been looking on Best Buy and it costs around $140.00. A tad bit over my budget.
I also came across Corel Paint Shop Pro. Is that any good?
I really need help! THANKS!

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 17 laptop for school and it comes with a 30-day free trial of McAfee security software. The problem is, I’ll be on a very tight budget once classes start, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford to buy any security software once the free trial is up. Do you think I’ll be okay without it? I don’t use any type of file sharing software (like Limewire, etc.), and I try to steer clear of any shady looking websites, so I don’t think I’ll end up accidentally downloading a virus or something. So do you think I’ll be okay without any security software?
