I’ve recently started earning more money with my new job, and I am looking to purchase the best laptop available. I am looking to spend up to $15,000 (not a typo) on the actual unit. Basically, I am not looking to include software in the price (outside of what is usually included standard) at this time.
If there is a laptop that is above that cost, but offers exceptional improvements in performance I may consider increasing my budget.

Hi,
I’m thinking of purchasing a camcorder sometime soon. I basically want to make it for projects like music videos, sketches, so the quality needs to be quite decent, and must upload to a PC etc. I’m a student so I haven’t got an amazing budget… I also want a good piece of video editing software to add music, transitions, subtitles etc…
Any help appreciated, I’m from the UK and I don’t really want to be buying from places outside
Thanks

I was wondering which Internet carrier is the cheapest and has the quickest service and speed (North Carolina Area, Gastonia ,NC). I need an Internet hookup at home but I don’t know which one is cheapest since my budget is tight? (NetZero, Road Runner… ) which one. Thank you. Mostly I wanna do is use Skype or any VoIP software so I would need a speed to suit that. Thank you

Forget the budget crises. We have Hollywood, Silicon Valley, the great redwoods, and agriculture.
I have been to Texas, Florida, and Ohio this year and everyone seems to be so hostile towards CA and it’s people.
Why do they dislike us when we produce their favorite movies, and most of their computers and software. Even Yahoo and Google are about 10 miles from my house (in California). Why all the resentment towards CA?

I want a camera to record.
I want it to be able to pause, then keep recording after because I’m going to want to make a parody.
If it has digital memory instead of tapes, that’s a plus.
Easy upload to computer is a plus
Budget: $300
(What type of software is good to edit with?)

I was curious what works for other people out there who has to manage their finances on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
When I first moved out of the house I wasn’t tought about how to budget and pretty much had to fall on my face. I had a checking account but didn’t keep good records and would be naive and bounce checks so I started getting money orders for everything and that helped to have better tabs to where it went.
By the time I had my second child I got the hang of using the checkbook register and would highly recommend that to anyone who is learning about budgeting or doesn’t have financial software.
When we bought our first computer it had Microsoft Money on it and I didn’t like it and would forget to log things so I deleted the program and went back to paper method.
A few years later I decided to try the Quicken software which was verison 2004 and got hooked. I’m currently using verison Qkn Deluxe 2006 and was wanting to upgrade but didn’t need investment catagories.
