If I converted the three gif animations to swf. Would I be able to position them on a canvas where I want them. I did searches for this but am leary on getting any software with out being sure it will do what I want it to do. I have a $200 budget for software and so far I haven’t spent a cent I use paintdotnet to make the gif frames ( switched over from GIMP ), gif2swf to convert gif files to swf files and InstantStorm to make screensavers. So the question is if I convert animated gif files to swf extention is there any way to combine them on a blank canvas where I want them. All three animated gifs play at different frame rates. Any help I can get would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

I know it’ll cost a lot but this is just a plan. You don’t need to organize a budget for this if you want to answer. Just tell me what’s best.
Thank you for answering!!!
Thanks, Chip. I’ll consider using that.
This question is still open so anyone who can answer please speak up!!!

Bob asked:
Currently we are running a 180 seat live theatre setup all relying on walkie-talkies. They are simply not working. We are looking for a new setup but cannot afford something like clear com, though we really need it. We have a wifi network in place so that we can control the sound board and access the internet incase we need it. We were wondering if there is some type of free VoIP software and headsets that would allow us to use the wireless network to communicate wirelessly, or even wired, throughout the theatre. We are on a very small budget. It would work something like this the user presses the “talk” button on their handset and begins to talk, wirelessly (or wired) it goes though the network and is broadcasted to the other wireless users. Could someone point me in the right direction?

I’m looking for something that can run engineering software (which I have the option to access for free from my new school). I’m going into chemical engineering, if that helps.

But, I’d also like a lightweight, small system and a great (at least 5 hrs) battery life.
My budget is $1000.
Is there a laptop out there that fits my needs?

I would like to start doing some (electric) guitar/vocal/maybe drum recording at home. I would like to do it through my computer with software such as pro tools. What hardware and software do I need to buy to get started. I’m on a budget and don’t need top of the line products, just products that will get me a decent sounding recording.

Hi all.
Hi all.
I’m considering flatting with a few mates, but I have no idea how to organise my money effectively. Can anyone recommend (preferably free / open source) budgeting software that can track costs and savings?
I could use excel, but I’m curious what other options there are.
If you have any advice about renting, I’ll be glad to hear it too.
Cheers,
Buford Hrna
