I need a laptop for broadcasting sam a internet radio software and doing remote broadcast .
Plus I’ll be storing my music library and using a dj software where I can make mixes burn them then air it on my on line radio show.
I will also need a mic input to record my voice and the voices of other guest.
So I wanted to know what laptop I should get — this program only runs on pc.
Need access to internet from anywhere.

Well, I know where I can find it but is too expensive for my budget right now and I need to complete some writeup forms. I need to find the software extremely cheap of maybe a free copy. I am not asking for anything pirated or for someone to do the work for free I am trying to do this on my own just without the heavy price of the software. So please keep you sarcasm and insults to yourself. Only post if you have helpful information.

What’s a good solution for print RIPing on a budget. I am checking because of printer issues at work all the time, and having a software based RIPer would greatly increase the throughput of printing projects. Which is the best ones, and where might I check for deals on these products?
The network environment is chiefly Macintosh OS, the printers are an HP4550, HP5000, and a Xante ColorLazer. A majority of the programs people print from are in the Adobe Creative Suites 2 or 3 and Microsoft Office for Macintosh.

I’m looking for some software that allows me to do a lot of what Adobe After Effects does. I’d prefer it to be cheap or free, as I’m working on a limited budget. Cinematic editing is really what I’m going after. Thanks!
I tried CineFX but it just gave me a media player, not an editor.

I am trying to do something for a school yearbook (on a budget – well basically, I’m trying to do this part of it, free). I want to take lines of text and scatter them in different directions on a few pages, but I don’t know what software to use. I guess I could use powerpoint and do it manually, but it seems there should be a better way. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I am based in the UK and run a successful business supplying custom solutions to engineering companies. I employ 10 people and we are expanding. Up until now I have written most of the software myself in C and VB but need more time to devote to the business. I am looking for an accomplished programmer with good maths (we write a lot of CAD/CAM based solutions) and knowledge of RS232 communications, wireless technology, SQL, ASP.NET and Microsoft Windows environments. Any engineering experience (robotics, Fanuc OSP, Fanuc Focas, Ladder Progamming) would be good.
The candidate needs to be a self starter who can liaise with customers at the highest level himself (our customers include BAE, GKN, Rolls Royce) and create custom solutions which are delivered on-time and on-budget. I am willing to offer a share in the business to the right candidate (subject to probationary period) and a decent salary package.
Do you know anyone who fits this bill and is UK based?
