Maxime Manuel asked:

Please recommend me a Barcode Scanner:

I am managing an inventory of 7,000 units of items in a company that is NOT in the US. I know that life could be easier. I want to be able to update the quantity on a handheld scanner each time I scan an item (Portable one).

For example I receive 50 items. I want to be able to scan only one of them and type 50 on the handheld.
I want to be able to download the data from the handheld to my computer where all the item codes and entered quantities from the scanner to go to their specific column.

Please refer me any Barcode Scanner that is able to do this with a budget of US$ 500. Please send me a link.

(Please do not recommend me a software. Just the hardware).

Thank you so much.

My church is growing in membership and our Board of Directors has approved the purchase of accounting software to allow me, the Treasurer, to have a general ledger, aging reports, budget reports etc. Does any current Treasurer have a recommendation or what software do your use?

I have been the Treasurer for many years and currently use programs that I created using Lotus 123.
I know the church money is used wisely and in accordance with the IRS laws for Non-Profits. I want the growing church to be up to date with finance reporting.
@ Dennis: Your attempt at humor has failed. Our church bylaws are very clear and the Pastor is not even in the room when deposits are prepared. Myself and two Board Members prepare the deposits and they are taken to the bank in tamper evident bags that are inside a locked bank bag. The person taking the deposit to the bank does not have a key to the locked bag and it is opened at the bank by a teller. Prepared deposit slips are initialed by the 2 other people present and the deposit receipt is matched and stapled together to be included with the bank statement reconciliation. We follow all rules as set forth by the IRS regarding Non-Profits.

I am in charge of creating new brochures for my company. What software should I use? I know there’s Microsoft Publisher but I want these to look very nice, not something I made from a template. Oh and the software must be free, no room in the budget to purchase fancy software :P Thank you!

I wan’t to try my hand at software development. I am 14 years old and I am really good with computers. But I was wondering if someone could tell my some good software development programs. They can cost money, I don’t have a budget. If you could, that would be great. P.S. You can email me some tutorials too. My email is austinhoile@gmail.com.

But yeah, any ideas?
Thanks guys.
P.s. The reason I need this is because I updated to OSX Lion and photoshop cs2 is no longer readable :(

Tom Dugan asked:

Im 12 and ever since i started gaming I’ve wanted to make my own. I would love to make a big budget shooter but i have no coding skills and i know we have to start somewhere. I was thinking maybe something i could use to make a 2D platformer. keep it under $20.
What I meant when i said id love to make a big budget game is that id like to but i know i cant so. Also i have absolutely no idea how to code. So put something that does most coding for you and all you have to do is have an idea. Maybe like gamemaker or something.
