I’d like to be able to share some videos but most sites don’t support the .vro file type. I know I need to be able to convert to another type, but I’ve tried that and so far haven’t found a free version of software that has done this without losing some of the content of the file. I don’t have the budget to pay for a program right now; just wondering if anyone out there knows if such a site exists. Thanks in advance for your help,

Please advise me on good performance monitoring software. Budget is no issue.
A typical performance monitoring tool has:
Server monitoring
Application server monitoring
Database monitoring
Web services monitoring
Virtualization monitoring
An example is ManageEngine’s Applications Manager
currenty, We want to monitor:
1 – BEA Weblogic server 8.1
2 – Oracle 9i Rel 2
Once I can identify the bottlenecks, recommendation for hardware / software upgrade can be made easily.
Thanks.
Please note I want to find and fix performance bottlenecks in Oracle Database (Oracle 9i Rel2), as well as generate graphs on statistics collected over a period of time so when a DBA comes he has proper statistics. So far, we do not have any tool configured to collect statistics.
Is Oracle Enterprise Manager enough for this?

I am going to school for my BS in Computer Information Systems, and while my first year will be all general education classes, my concentration is in software/database. I am curious as to what computer will be best for things such as programming and the few video game creation/coding classes I will have to take. My budget is up to $2,000. But the less I have to spend, the better.

I am a Graphic Design major, and our final project is to create a freelance business that we are interested in and buy all of the needed equipment for that job. We have a $5000. budget and I have chosen to be a photography editor. So my question is what kind of computer, printer, scanner and software should I buy? And what else do I need besides for these things?

I’m not looking to break the bank, but want a good laptop for my HD videocamera, and want to use it for music recording and editing. My budget is only about 800 dollars tops, but could also get a used one. Also, I sometimes like to play games and download software. I’d say that I would use it 60% surfing the internet, 20% video editing, and 20% with music stuff. Thanks
