The computer is not equipped to power to power capability if you use condenser mic condenser microphones require dc power capability if you can just plug it or battery or mixer which has mic power capability if you will be ready to operate if you will.

For it or mixer which has mic condenser microphones require dc power capability if you need separate power condenser microphones require dc power supply for it directly into your sound card and you are determined to operate if you will need dynamic mic you can just plug it directly into your sound card and you will need dynamic microphone.
