i have quicken, but im having a hard time learning how to use it…
any input would be great… we want something that we can input things like food and gas we spend every day..

There’s not really a software that will give all the answers, but you can work with some sites that will give you a whole bunch of information and then you can take decisions over what to do.

To have a great categorized overview of your expenses in a monthly basis:
Best software to manage monthly budget: Microsoft Excel. Some online banks will give you a download option for Excel and you can try to use this to control.
Some other software that you might find interesting: Quick Books and Microsoft Money.
