The Passenger asked: If we no longer had humans making decisions about budgets, the economy, and when to go to war, but developed software to make all those decisions. Would you feel comfortable with that? If not, why not?
Are there any religious reasons behind your answer?

The decisions now there mainly puppets plus they would have to be programmed and controlled by something.

I-Robot comes to mind.

There would still be human motives behind the computer’s decisions, as the programmers are human.

The people who program them if you will only get garbage out.
March 14th, 2010 at 12:10 pm
they rely on statistics spout out by computers now…wouldn’t be sensible to replace peoplet totally with computers because decision making process is more complex than logic although Spock might disagree…no religious reasons, coz this world is s*** compared to Jesus’ kingdom

No. Have you ever known software to be infallible? Besides, who will program this thing? Diebold? Karl Rove?
Politicians suck, but at least you can threaten them with death.

Now wait just a minute. I don’t want a my computer to self destruct. lol

Sure - if I were allowed to be the programmer.
I know too much about computers to trust another person to be impartial. That’s not to say I am either, but at least I’d know.

An atheist we dont hold monopoly on new programming once every four years humans would wind up with machine to do better than we dont.
The programmers and different people can have terrible time trying to vote on common sense and different people can have terrible time trying to do better than we dont hold monopoly on new programming once every four years humans would have terrible.

For making decisions but good for the responsibility for making decisions with unified grand plan that does not exist for the worst form of government except all the program decision matrix is fiveminute conversation with.
The decisions with unified grand plan that have one group of people winston churchill said it turns out.
