    Computer will be needed of course. Make sure you have plenty of ram and cpu power. 3+ gb ram is great and a Pentium core 2 duo or higher is nice to have.

    MIDI keyboard with USB connection is convenient. Check out m-audio, akai, ect… usb midi controllers.

    Software, you can try many different hosts/programs. Reason, Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper, ect…
