    I personally like Quicken Basic for my expense reports.

    If you have Excel you can download templates (under the Budgets or Expense Reports categories) here:

    Or if you don’t have Excel you can get OpenOffice here: And use the OpenOffice spreadsheet program, called Calc. It is totally free, but you may have to build your own spreadsheet (It shouldn’t be too hard if you skim through tutorials they have on the site). The only budget template I found is here: It’s old, but might work or at least serve as an example.

    Or if you know how to make your own spreadsheets, you can use Google Spreadsheets (which works a lot like Excel):

    Perhaps your computer came with Quicken or some similar finance program?
