What type of Antivirus software is the best?

I have an HP computer and right now I have Windows Live One Care. And i’m not satisfied with it. It sometimes freezes my computer up.
Now I’m looking for another antivirus software with firewall and antispyware that is excellent and that fits my budget.

Yes, Microsoft Windows does suffer badly from security problems leading to viruses, adware and other nasties, doesn’t it?
As you’ve found, going with an anti-virus solution from the people that gave you the defective operating system in the first place isn’t the best way forward! Even Microsoft themselves admit “OneCare” should never have been released.
For a new anti-virus sticking plaster, try AVG Free - its free!
Once you’re fed up of slowdown, viruses, spyware and adware then consider the upgrade from Windows to Mac OS X or Linux.

I use avg - it’s FREE. It has never let me down. Get it from download.com or go straight to the source at grisoft.com

try avg it’s free,if you have comcast you can get mcafee for free,norton will really slow your computer down,go to download.com and you can find all the free downloads you need

I like McAfee Total Protection. It is not free but can sometimes find a good sale at Office Max. I also have Webroot Spy Sweeper that does a good job.
